Araghchi: West Ultimately Forced to Accept Iran’s Peaceful Nuclear Program

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi stated on Sunday that Western governments have no option but to accept Iran’s peaceful nuclear industry, emphasizing that the country’s nuclear progress is broad, fast-moving, and deeply integrated into national development.

Iran (IMNA) - During a visit to an exhibition showcasing Iran’s latest nuclear achievements at the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Araghchi met with senior managers of the agency and highlighted the scope of the country’s nuclear activities. He stressed that the nuclear industry is now a major and rapidly advancing sector, extending far beyond uranium enrichment and contributing to medicine, health, the environment, agriculture, and various industrial fields.

Araghchi said nuclear technology enhances scientific acceleration in the country and directly supports many aspects of people’s lives. He also expressed pride in the scientists and experts working in nuclear centers, thanking AEOI chief Mohammad Eslami and all staff members for their efforts.

He noted the strong cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the AEOI, reaffirming that the Foreign Ministry will continue to stand by the organization and defend the rights of the Iranian people in all nuclear-related matters.

Rejecting Western accusations that Iran’s nuclear program has military intentions, Araghchi reiterated that the program is entirely peaceful. He said Western countries aim to deprive Iran of nuclear capability to preserve their own monopoly. He added that after more than 20 years of continuous interaction, negotiation, and dialogue, if Iran had sought to build nuclear weapons, it would have already done so, given the country’s capacity. Instead, he said, Iran has consistently built trust and cooperated with international bodies, including the IAEA, while Western governments continue to make baseless excuses.
