Iranian Students Excel at INNOVERSE 2025 with 13 Medals

Iranian student inventors showcased their exceptional talents in science and technology by winning a total of 13 medals at the INNOVERSE International Invention & Innovation Expo held online on August 24, 2025. The medals included 3 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze, marking a remarkable achievement on the global stage.

Iran (IMNA) - Hosted by the United States, INNOVERSE 2025 provided a distinguished platform for emerging talents from 177 teams across 47 countries to present innovative projects spanning advanced technologies, artificial intelligence, social development, and environmental sustainability.

The Iranian gold medalists included Ilia Majidzadeh Heravi and Parsa Karimi Yazdi for ‘CommuniMate SmartApp: Solutions for Deaf Communication Challenges,’ Artin Radmatin and colleagues for ‘Evaluation of the effect of using magnetic gear in improving the performance of process systems based on mechanical gear,’ and Niki Abtahi with her team for ‘Improving the design of pneumatic muscles: Simulation and analysis of the dynamic behavior of the system.’

Silver medals were earned by Mehran Rajabi and Alireza Jafarnezhad for their AI and IoT-powered smart waste segregation system ‘EcoNet Bin,’ Yasin Abbasi’s team for ‘Medismart Smart Pharmacy Solution,’ Parmida and Sorena Salahmand for developing decay-resistant nano-composites for oral health, and Matin Hayati for his ‘Automated Analysis and Visualization of EEG Signals for Seizure Prediction.’

Bronze winners included projects on cancer cell studies, biodegradable antimicrobial packaging, a humanoid IoT-based robot for child care, hydrogel treatment for diabetic oral ulcers, herbal nanogel for skin cancer, and smart child safety solutions using IoT and image processing.

This success follows other recent Iranian achievements such as winning five gold medals at the 18th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics in Mumbai, India, demonstrating sustained excellence across various international science competitions.

These accomplishments highlight the dedication of Iranian students, their families, coaches, and the wider scientific community in promoting innovation and academic excellence worldwide. The INNOVERSE 2025 performance firmly places Iran among the global leaders in young scientific talent.
