Iran’s Exports to Africa Surge 85% in First Quarter of Iranian Year

The deputy head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPO) for Africa, Leila Baghban, announced that Iran's exports to Africa increased by 85% during the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year, ending June 21, compared to the same period last year.

Iran (IMNA) - Speaking during her visit to Nairobi, Kenya, for the two-day Iran–Kenya Joint Economic Cooperation Commission meeting, Baghban revealed that total exports to Africa reached $260 million in this timeframe.

She highlighted significant growth in trade with Kenya, where Iran’s exports amounted to $85 million in the first three months of this year. Baghban added that Iran’s annual exports to African countries currently total around $1 billion, despite some fluctuations in recent years. The ongoing meeting in Nairobi represents the seventh Iran–Kenya Joint Economic Cooperation Commission gathering, resuming after an 11-year pause.
