Iran and Oman Commit to Strengthening Bilateral Relations

In a significant meeting on the sidelines of the extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers in Jeddah on Friday night, the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Oman expressed their readiness to enhance bilateral relations between Tehran and Muscat.

Iran (IMNA) - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi engaged in discussions with his Omani counterpart, focusing on the current state of their bilateral relations and regional developments. Araghchi emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran has no restrictions on expanding ties with Oman and is prepared to deepen cooperation across various sectors of mutual interest.

Highlighting regional issues, Araghchi described the OIC ministerial meeting concerning Gaza as a strong message from the Islamic world against colonialist efforts to undermine Palestine. He urged the international community to intervene to halt the genocide in Gaza and assist in rebuilding the area.

The Omani Foreign Minister underscored the importance of the longstanding relationship between Oman and Iran, reaffirming his country’s commitment to advancing bilateral ties in all relevant fields. He also expressed appreciation for Iran’s dedication to the Palestinian cause, stressing the necessity for unity and collaboration among regional nations to secure the legitimate rights of Palestinians and prevent their forced displacement.
