Isfahan Named Asian Capital of Tourism 2025

The Asian Mayors Forum (AMF) has announced the recipients of the Capital of Culture, Capital of Environment, and Capital of Tourism awards for 2025.

Iran's Isfahan has been selected as the Capital of Tourism. The city is called "Nesf-e Jahan," meaning "half of the world", due to its wonders and beauty. The city is known for its unique combination of historical charm and modern attractions. Isfahan is filled with culture, class, and tradition. The city is known for Persian-Muslim architecture, grand boulevards, historical bridges, palaces, tiled mosques, and minarets.

Kermanshah, Iran, has been named the Capital of Culture.
