Iran (IMNA) - On the same day, Araghchi held discussions with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, emphasizing that the relationship between Iran and China is deeply rooted in their ancient civilizations. He noted the importance of cooperation and consultation between the two nations in addressing global and regional challenges.
Araghchi arrived in Beijing on Friday to follow up on a strategic cooperation agreement between Iran and China. He highlighted that both countries have strengthened political trust and collaboration through a 25-year comprehensive cooperation plan, which has enhanced mutual solidarity across various domains.
"This partnership is based on a solid foundation and encompasses a wide range of areas," Araghchi stated. He further asserted that Iran and China share common interests not only in bilateral and regional matters but also on the international stage, with both nations firmly committed to multilateralism and collective cooperation for global prosperity.
The two countries continue to collaborate closely within multilateral frameworks such as the SCO and BRICS, reinforcing their commitment to mutual support amid global challenges.
