Iran (IMNA) - In a post on his X account late Monday, Baghaei highlighted a statement from UN Special Rapporteur Ben Saul, noting that these two countries supply 99% of the weapons exported to Israel. He asserted that if they ceased these arms shipments, they could effectively end the conflict overnight.
Baghaei stated, “US and Germany are aiding and abetting genocide by continued weapons transfers to Israel that have made them fully complicit in Gaza genocide.” He emphasized that their actions violate international humanitarian law (IHL) and their obligations to prevent and punish genocide. He called for accountability for what he described as their "wrongful & criminal acts" in the context of the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza.
