Iran (IMNA) - The conversation not only focused on the strengthening of Tehran-Doha relations but also addressed critical regional issues, including the ongoing Israeli conflict in Gaza and the resurgence of violence in Syria, where government forces are currently combating terrorist groups.

Additionally, a joint statement was issued by the foreign ministers of Iran, Iraq, and Syria following their meeting in Baghdad on December 6, 2023. This gathering at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs centered on recent developments in the region, particularly the security situation in Syria. The ministers expressed a unified stance regarding the dangers posed by escalating events in Syria and underscored their sensitivity for all parties involved.

The statement highlighted a collective condemnation of terrorism as defined by the United Nations Security Council and stressed the necessity for collaborative efforts to combat it. Furthermore, they denounced Israel's ongoing military actions against Syria, Gaza, and Lebanon.
