Iran, Saudi Arabia to Discuss Ending Conflicts in Lebanon and Palestine

Iran’s Vice-President Mohammad Reza Aref announced that Iran and Saudi Arabia will engage in consultations aimed at ending the ongoing wars in Lebanon and Palestine.

Iran (IMNA) - Aref made this statement at Mehrabad International Airport prior to his departure for Riyadh, where he will participate in a joint extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit.

The meeting, organized at the suggestion of Iran and coordinated by the country's foreign minister, is primarily focused on halting the violence and bloodshed currently affecting Lebanon and Palestine. Aref expressed optimism that these discussions would lead to positive outcomes in achieving a ceasefire in these regions.

He underscored the necessity of addressing humanitarian issues, including relief for Palestinian and Lebanese refugees, as well as the victims of violence attributed to the "Zionist regime." Aref stated, “At the summit, we will present our views on the core issues affecting Palestine and Lebanon and the urgent need to end the war in the region.”
