Iran, Turkmenistan Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Relations

Iran and Turkmenistan's foreign ministers held a phone conversation on Wednesday to emphasize their commitment to expanding bilateral relations across various fields.

Iran (IMNA) - Abbas Araghchi and his Turkmen counterpart, Rashid Mardov, reviewed the current state of their bilateral ties and discussed regional topics, according to a statement from the Iranian foreign ministry released in Farsi.

The two ministers highlighted their nations' determination to significantly strengthen relations in political, economic, scientific, and cultural areas. They also explored strategies for enhancing economic and trade relations, along with ongoing collaboration within regional and international organizations.

Araghchi characterized the relationship between Iran and Turkmenistan as progressing positively and on the right path. Meanwhile, Mardov noted the recent high-level visits between officials from both nations as indicative of their strong interactions, stressing the need for further expansion of bilateral relations.
