Iran and China Presidents Emphasize Implementation of Bilateral Agreements

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Chinese President Xi Jinping have called for the implementation of previously signed agreements between their countries.

Iran (IMNA) - This discussion took place during their recent meeting in Kazan, Russia, on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit, as highlighted by Iranian Envoy to China Mohsen Bakhtiar.

In a post on his X account, Bakhtiar noted the significance of this meeting, stating that Iran's full membership in the BRICS group marks an important step in realizing these agreements. He emphasized that cooperation within the BRICS framework would enhance global interaction and contribute to international peace and stability.

President Pezeshkian reiterated the need for a structured approach to strengthen relations between Iran and China through a Joint Economic Cooperation plan. Earlier that day, he also engaged in discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the leaders of South Africa and Egypt.
