Iran (IAMNHomayoun Sameh Yah Najafabadi made these remarks on Thursday, emphasizing that any reckless behavior from the Israeli military would prompt unexpected responses from Iran.
He also referenced a potential agreement between U.S. President Joe Biden and Netanyahu regarding Israel's response to Iran's retaliatory operation on October 1. Sameh Yah cautioned that even a minor offensive by Israel would elicit a strong and regrettable reaction from Iran, urging American officials to heed this warning.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a barrage of 200 ballistic missiles targeting Israeli military and espionage bases around Tel Aviv on Tuesday. This operation, dubbed Operation True Promise II, was a direct retaliation for Israel's ongoing aggression in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the recent assassinations of high-ranking resistance officials, including Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, and IRGC military advisor General Abbas Nilforoushan.
Sameh Yah warned that an all-out war in West Asia could have far-reaching repercussions beyond the region. He stated, “Global authorities must understand that if a full-scale war erupts in West Asia, its impact will not be confined to this region; other parts of the world will also face the harmful consequences.”
He expressed support for Iran’s retaliatory strikes on Israeli bases, noting that "the Jewish community of Iran fully supports the honorable IRGC operation against Zionist regime bases." He highlighted that dozens of missiles struck the Nevatim Airbase in the occupied territories, underscoring the vulnerability of Israel's defense systems against Iran's missile capabilities.
Nevatim is a key Israeli military airbase housing U.S.-made F-35 fighter jets. The recent missile attacks have raised concerns about Israel’s military preparedness and its implications for regional security.
