Iran Condemns Israeli Airstrikes, Warns of Threat to International Peace

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghei stated that the Zionist regime’s policy of creating insecurity in the region poses a serious threat to international peace and security.

Iran (IMNA) - Baghei made these remarks in response to an Israeli airstrike on a school in Deir al-Balah, Gaza Strip, on Sunday. He strongly condemned the ongoing anti-humanitarian actions of the Zionist regime, which include the killing of civilians in Lebanon and Palestine, as well as the attack on a mosque in Deir al-Balah, a shelter for homeless refugees.

He noted that recent attacks by the Zionist regime, using weapons supplied by the United States against holy sites, schools, mosques, and medical centers in Palestine and Lebanon, evoke memories of ISIL's crimes. Baghei added that the killing of civilians and destruction of infrastructure are integral to both Zionism and Takfirism.

The spokesman characterized the continued policy of terror and mass killings against the oppressed Palestinian people—who have sought refuge in places of worship and cultural centers—as clear examples of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Baghei called on the international community to take serious action against what he termed the "Hitler of the new era," referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and other leaders of the Zionist regime. He urged countries around the world, especially Muslim states, to provide immediate humanitarian aid to the displaced populations in Gaza and Lebanon.

Israeli forces recently killed dozens of Palestinians during fresh raids across the besieged Gaza Strip, while a significant military operation by Israeli troops in the occupied West Bank continues. The strike near a hospital in Deir al-Balah resulted in four fatalities and numerous injuries, including women and children, according to Wafa news agency.
