President Pezeshkian: Zionist Regime’s Iron Dome More Fragile Than Glass

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared that the Zionist regime's Iron Dome is "more fragile than glass."

Iran (IMNA) - Speaking during a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, he noted that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have once again demonstrated the vulnerability of the Zionist regime's defense system.

Pezeshkian highlighted Operation ‘True Promise 2,’ a retaliatory attack carried out by Iran against the Zionist regime the previous night. He stated, "Based on legitimate rights and with the aim of maintaining peace and security for Iran and the region, a decisive response was given to the aggression of the Zionist regime."

The president praised the Iranian Armed Forces for their operation, which targeted sensitive military and security centers of the Israeli regime. He asserted that Operation ‘True Promise 2’ showcased Iranian national pride and was conducted in accordance with international standards in response to crimes committed by the Zionist regime.

This operation was launched in retaliation for the Israeli assassination of prominent figures, including ex-Chief of the Political Bureau of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh and former Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, along with several Resistance commanders.

Following Haniyeh's assassination in Tehran, which Pezeshkian described as a violation of Iran's sovereignty, Western countries urged Iran to exercise restraint while promising a ceasefire in Gaza. However, Pezeshkian criticized these promises, stating that the Zionist regime continued to kill innocent civilians and expanded its crimes into Lebanon.

He condemned the double standards and inaction of international communities regarding the actions of the Zionist regime, emphasizing that during a United Nations General Assembly meeting, Israel's prime minister publicly threatened Iran while other nations remained silent.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed that it launched hundreds of missiles at Israeli positions in occupied territories on Tuesday as a response to recent terrorist attacks by Israel. The IRGC issued two statements acknowledging missile strikes against Israel and confirming that three military bases near Tel Aviv were targeted.

This marks the second instance of Iran launching missiles at occupied territories from its soil; during Operation True Promise in mid-April, Tehran struck various military targets after an Israeli attack on its embassy in Damascus.on-rcna173389
