Iranian President Condemns Israeli Attacks in Lebanon, Vows Justice

In a heartfelt message on his X account, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed deep condolences to the people of Lebanon following a tragic series of explosions that resulted in the martyrdom and injury of thousands.

Iran (IMNA) - The president condemned what he termed a "mass assassination" carried out by the "criminal Zionist regime," asserting that the perpetrators will face just punishment.

Pezeshkian's message highlighted the indiscriminate nature of the attacks, which involved the explosion of communication devices, causing significant casualties among civilians. "We express our deepest condolences and sympathies to the dear people of Lebanon for the martyrdom and injury of thousands of Lebanese citizens as a result of treacherous mass terror carried out by the terrorist regime of Israel," he stated.

The Iranian leader also called on international organizations to take responsibility for addressing this heinous crime against the Lebanese people, reaffirming Iran's support for both the Lebanese government and its citizens. He wished for a swift recovery for those injured in the blasts.

According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, at least 12 individuals were killed and over 4,000 others injured due to these explosions, with many in critical condition. Following a new wave of explosions, reports indicated that at least 20 people had died and hundreds were wounded.

The Iranian government, alongside various regional nations and international figures, condemned these attacks, emphasizing solidarity with Lebanon during this tragic time[2][6][7][8].
