Iran's Foreign Minister Emphasizes Strengthening Ties with Serbia, Regional Stability

Iran's Foreign Minister, Mohammad Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, has highlighted the importance of maintaining and strengthening friendly relations with Serbia, as well as consolidating stability in the Balkans, as key foreign policy objectives of the 14th government.

Iran (IMNA) - In a telephone conversation on Friday, Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric congratulated Araghchi on his appointment and expressed hope for the expansion of friendly relations between the two nations during the new government's tenure. Djuric also expressed interest in enhancing economic cooperation and invited Iranian economic sectors to participate actively in Expo 2027 in Belgrade.

Djuric acknowledged Iran's support for Serbia's territorial integrity, describing it as valuable and worthy of appreciation. In response, Araghchi reiterated Iran's commitment to supporting Serbia's territorial integrity and opposing any changes to borders or geopolitical structures in various regions.

The Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized the necessity of utilizing all available mechanisms to develop relations between Iran and Serbia, particularly in the economic and commercial sectors.
