Iran's Leader Urges New Government to Utilize Country's Capabilities for Progress

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei called on the new Iranian government to utilize the country's existing capacities for its progress and development.

Iran (IMNA) - The Leader made the remarks during a meeting with President Masoud Pezeshkian and his cabinet members on Tuesday morning, marking the beginning of the Government week.

This was the first meeting between the members of the 14th Iranian government and the Supreme Leader. Ayatollah Khamenei expressed gratitude for the efforts of President Pezeshkian and the parliament in forming the government, calling it a "great blessing."

The Leader praised President Pezeshkian's hard work in selecting the ministers, stating that the President had consulted with him on the matter. He also urged the cabinet members to support one another, offering help if needed, and to strive for success in their work.

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the importance of utilizing Iran's existing assets and wealth for progress, highlighting the country's unique geographical position, climate diversity, long coastlines, and natural resources. He also considered the Islamic Republic's military progress and scientific status as valuable capacities.

"The faith of our people, both religious and political, is a very valuable capacity," he said. "We must pay attention to these capacities and utilize them for the progress of our country."

The meeting marked an important step in establishing a strong relationship between the government and the Supreme Leader, who is considered the ultimate authority in Iran.
