Iran's Proposed Defense Minister: US-Led Unipolar World Order Crumbling, New Era Emerges

In a bold address to the Iranian parliament, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, the proposed Minister of Defense, declared that the world has rejected the US-led unipolar world order, paving the way for a new era of global politics. Nasirzadeh, picked by President Masoud Pezeshkian, stated that the recent developments in the region have strengthened Iran's position as a backer of oppressed nations worldwide.

Iran (IMNA) - Nasirzadeh pointed to the US's support for Israel's genocidal war on Gaza, which has reinforced Iran's role in the West Asian region and globally. He also highlighted the significance of Iran's military operations, including the "True Promise" and "al-Aqsa Storm", in deterring the Israeli regime and strengthening its own position.

The incoming Defense Minister warned that Israel has "crossed the red lines of direct conflict" with its assassinations and war crimes against Palestinian people in Gaza. He cited the recent killings of senior Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh as examples of Israel's aggression.

Nasirzadeh emphasized the strategic importance of Iran's Islamic Republic, citing its growing influence among oppressed nations and its strengthened position in the international arena. He vowed to continue supporting the resistance front and ousting foreign forces from the region.

As part of his plan for the Ministry of Defense, Nasirzadeh outlined initiatives to monitor defense technological developments, obtain advanced technologies, and provide sustainable support to the resistance front. He also stressed the importance of regional and global coalitions to achieve these goals.

Nasirzadeh currently serves as the deputy chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and is set to take over as Defense Minister.
