Iran (IMNA) - The newly elected leader thanked Speaker of the parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, for allowing him to attend the session and announced that the vote of confidence will take place on Wednesday, August 21.
Pezeshkian emphasized that his government, which he described as a "government of national consensus," is committed to ensuring the citizenship rights of all Iranians and securing national interests. He also reiterated his commitment to abiding by the constitution, implementing the goals of the Vision Plan as outlined by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and realizing the 7th Development Plan.
However, the president-elect acknowledged that the current policies and measures in place are not sufficient to address the ongoing problems in the country.
