Iran (IMNA) - The statement was made by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani, who criticized the Western countries for their indifference to Israeli aggression and impunity.
Kan'ani pointed out that the three European countries' statement was published while the Western world and its support of the Israeli regime have led to the commission of international crimes, including genocide and war crimes, against the Palestinian people. He emphasized that the impunity of the Israeli authorities has emboldened them to commit even more heinous crimes.
The Iranian diplomat also highlighted the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, which has been exacerbated by the Israeli regime's continued aggression. He noted that the UN and its Security Council have failed to take decisive action against Israel's crimes, allowing the situation to worsen.
Kan'ani criticized the European countries' statement for impudently asking Iran not to act as a deterrent against Israel's aggression, which is contrary to international law and represents public and practical support for international terrorism. He emphasized that if these countries are serious about achieving peace and stability in the region, they must take a firm stance against Israel's war-mongering and adventurism.
Iran has reiterated its commitment to defending its sovereignty and national security, while also working to establish stability and create deterrence against the source of insecurity and terrorism in the region. Kan'ani stressed that Iran will not ask for permission to exercise its recognized rights and will continue to defend its interests in the face of Israeli aggression.
