Iran (IMNA) - According to Mohammad Sadeq Qannadzadeh, the deputy head of TPOI, the FTA will reduce tariffs between Iran and EAEU member states to zero level, with more than 87% of tariff codes affected.
The launch of the FTA is expected to boost trade relations between Iran and the EAEU, which includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan. The agreement is currently under investigation at the Iranian Parliament and is expected to be ratified soon.
Qannadzadeh also announced that the organization is planning to launch a Preferential Trade Agreement with Oman and a free trade agreement with neighboring Pakistan in the near future.
Additionally, the deputy head of TPOI revealed that the organization has 22 commercial envoys stationed in various countries, with 11 more envoys to be dispatched in the coming months to strengthen ties in the fields of trade and economy. The total number of Iran's commercial envoys abroad is expected to reach 33 by the end of this year, with plans to increase it to 60 by the end of President Masoud Pezeshkian's first year in office.
