Iranian President Names Three New Officials, Including Former Finance Minister as High Adviser

In a series of high-level appointments, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has named three new officials to his administration.

Iran (IMNA) - The moves come just days after former Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif was appointed as the strategic deputy of the president.

According to sources, Pezeshkian has appointed Ali Tayebnia, the former Minister of Finance of Iran, as his high adviser. Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi has been tapped as the vice president and head of the Plan and Budget Organization, while Shahram Dabiri will serve as the president's deputy for parliamentary affairs.

The appointments were made public on Sunday, with no further details released at this time. Pezeshkian was sworn in as Iran's ninth president on July 30, following a ceremony held at Tehran's parliament.
