Iran's Intelligence Minister Accuses US of Greenlighting Haniyeh's Assassination

Iran's Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib has condemned the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, claiming that the United States gave the green light to the Israeli regime to carry out the attack.

Iran (IMNA) - In a statement, Khatib offered condolences to Haniyeh's family and the Palestinian nation, calling the assassination a "cowardly act" that revealed the "barbaric nature" of the Israeli regime.

The Iranian minister also described the incident as a sign of the "collapse" of the Israeli regime, and vowed to continue supporting the Palestinian Resistance Movement.

According to a statement released by the IRGC, Haniyeh's residence was targeted in Tehran, killing him and one of his bodyguards. The incident is currently under investigation.

Khatib's comments came as tensions between Iran and Israel continue to escalate, with both sides exchanging threats and accusations. The Iranian government has vowed to take revenge for the assassination of Haniyeh, who was killed in the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
