"Caspian Sea Countries Unite for Joint Search and Rescue Exercise: 'CASAREX24' Kicks Off"

In a significant display of regional cooperation, the Joint Caspian Sea Search and Rescue Exercise, dubbed "CASAREX24," has commenced in the Caspian Sea.

Iran (IMNA) - The ambitious operation, organized by the Northern Fleet of Iran's Navy, will involve all five littoral states of the Caspian Sea, including Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan.

The exercise aims to strengthen regional cooperation and enhance the readiness of participating nations to conduct search and rescue operations. A diverse range of vessels from each country will take part, including Iran's missile boats Paykan, Joshan, Derafsh, and Separ, as well as two AB 212 helicopters and an IRGC naval unit called Martyr Basir. Russia's SB 45 vessel will also be involved in the security and rescue drill.

Representatives from the Caspian Sea littoral states will closely monitor the various stages of the exercise, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Russian Federation.
