Iran (IMNA) - In a post on his X account on Sunday, Amir-Abdollahian expressed Iran's condemnation of the recent airstrikes conducted by the United States and Britain on Yemen, as well as the deadly strikes carried out by US occupation forces in Iraq and Syria.
During a meeting with British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that the "continuation of war is not a solution." This statement referred to discussions between the two sides that took place on the sidelines of the 54th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, back in January.
“Do not test the anger of the region. We consider the security of Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Palestine (Gaza and the West Bank) to be the security of the region,” the top Iranian diplomat stated.

In a statement released on Friday, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed its forces carried out a series of overnight raids in Iraq and Syria, targeting more than 85 locations with a significant number of aircraft. The strikes reportedly focused on positions in the eastern province of Dayr al-Zawr and the city of Bukamal, which is near the Iraqi border.
While details regarding the extent of the damage and the exact number of casualties remain undisclosed, Syrian state media reported on the US aggression. The report, however, fell short of providing specific information about the impact of the strikes.

Sixteen individuals, including civilians, lost their lives, and 25 others sustained injuries during the recent US airstrikes in Iraq, according to a statement from Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani's office. The attacks occurred as the United States and Britain launched numerous air raids on several provinces in Yemen, including Sana’a, Hudaydah, and Sa’ada. The Pentagon claimed that the strikes targeted 13 different locations in Yemen, aiming at weapons storage facilities, missile systems, and launchers utilized by the Yemeni Armed Forces and the popular Ansarullah movement. These military assets were allegedly involved in attacking Israeli-linked vessels in the Red Sea, supporting the Palestinians in Gaza.
