Ayatollah Khamenei Commends Soraya Satellite Launch, Credits Anti-Iran Sanctions
In a significant development, Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, has praised the successful launch of the Soraya satellite into a Low Earth Orbit (LEO). The Ayatollah emphasized that this achievement would not have been possible without the existence of anti-Iran sanctions.
Last week, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force accomplished the task of placing the Soraya satellite into an orbit approximately 750 kilometers above Earth. This remarkable feat was achieved within a remarkably short span of just 11 minutes.
The Soraya satellite, developed by the Iranian Space Agency (ISA), was launched into space using a Qaem-100 space launch vehicle (SLV). The Qaem-100 is a highly sophisticated three-stage SLV equipped with solid fuel, which was specifically designed and developed by the IRGC Aerospace Force.
This successful launch marks a significant milestone for Iran's space program, demonstrating the nation's determination to overcome the challenges posed by international sanctions. Ayatollah Khamenei's recognition of the satellite launch highlights the country's technological prowess in the face of adversity.
