The National Security Committee had decided to resume Pakistan's full level of diplomatic relations with Iran, as reported by Pakistani media. Both countries will soon send their respective ambassadors to their missions, signifying a renewed commitment to bilateral cooperation and understanding.

In a recent development, on January 16, the Islamic Republic executed a coordinated assault using both drones and missiles. The targets of these attacks were two bases belonging to Jaish ul-Adl, a notorious terrorist organization that emerged in 2012.
