Iran (IMNA) - The Pakistan-based Jaish-ul-Adl terrorist group claimed responsibility for the assault. Major General Mousavi, in a message to Iran's Police Chief Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan on Saturday, emphasized that this "blind" terrorist attack was part of a larger plot by the enemies aimed at undermining unity among Muslims.
Mousavi, in an official statement, assured that his forces would extend complete support to the Iranian Police in their investigation of the recent incident. He expressed confidence that the culprits behind the attack would be identified and brought to justice.
The United Nations strongly condemned the brutal terrorist attack on Saturday, denouncing it in the harshest terms.
In response to the act of terror in Rask, Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, offered his condolences for the loss of lives. In a message shared on X, he stated that such terrorist acts by those who oppose Iran's progress and security will not hinder the nation's rapid development.
The attack took place around midnight and has been described as one of the most devastating incidents in the border region in recent years.
