Iran (IMNA) - The provincial justice department's public relations office released a statement revealing that the identity of the executed individual is currently undisclosed. Investigations revealed that the person had maintained close ties with spy agencies, gathered classified information through accomplices, and shared confidential documents with foreign services.
After undergoing arrest and a thorough investigation by the prosecutor's office, the individual has been pronounced guilty at the Revolutionary Court of Zahedan. The charges leveled against them include "intelligence cooperation and espionage on behalf of the hostile Zionist regime," as well as the collection and direct provision of classified information to a Mossad officer. The intention behind these actions was purportedly to disrupt the national law and order. Additionally, the individual was accused of propagating in favor of anti-revolutionary groups and organizations.
In a recent development, the defendant, following the conclusion of the trial, has been given the death penalty. The verdict was delivered to both the defendant and his legal team. Subsequently, an appeal was filed with the Supreme Court, which meticulously reviewed the case, dismissed the appeal, and upheld the original ruling.
Furthermore, the defendant sought clemency, but unfortunately, his plea was rejected due to non-compliance with essential prerequisites. Consequently, on Saturday morning, after due legal process, the individual was executed by hanging at Zahedan Central Prison.
