Iran (IMNA) - Amir-Abdollahian revealed that the American government had sent a message, requesting Iran's intervention to persuade the Resistance groups to stop attacking American bases in the region. The foreign minister concluded by affirming Iran's unwavering support for Palestine and its commitment to continue actions in their favor.
Iranian Foreign Minister, Amir-Abdollahian, emphasized that resistance factions have declared their commitment to continue conducting rocket and drone attacks on military bases accommodating US troops throughout the region.
This comes as a response to Washington's unwavering support for Israel's relentless assault on Gaza. Minister Amir-Abdollahian further revealed that American officials have privately urged Iran to persuade these resistance groups to halt their attacks on US military installations in Iraq and Syria. In response, Iran clarified that these groups operate autonomously and make their own decisions.
On October 7, Israel initiated a military operation in Gaza following the Palestinian resistance movements' Operation Al-Aqsa Storm. The operation was a response to Israel's ongoing campaign of violence and destruction against Palestinians. Since then, the Israeli regime has caused the deaths of at least 17,487 individuals in Gaza, with a majority being women and children. Additionally, over 46,000 people have sustained injuries.
