Iran (IMNA) - The signing took place on the sidelines of a meeting between Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber and Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko.
Under the terms of the MoU, Iran will export technical and engineering services, oil equipment, and petrochemical products to Belarus. The two countries will also collaborate in technology-related fields and utilize a barter system for trading.
During the meeting between Golovchenko and Mokhber, the Iranian first vice president expressed his expectation that the expansion of Tehran-Minsk relations over the past two years will benefit both nations' economic and commercial interests. Mokhber further stated that the trade volume between Iran and Belarus could reach $1 billion per year.
Accompanying Mokhber on his one-day visit to Belarus are Oil Minister Owji, Industry, Mine and Trade Minister, Iran-Belarus Joint Economic Commission Chairman Abbas Aliabadi, and Agriculture Minister Mohammad-Ali Nikbakht. Mokhber's visit to Belarus was extended as he was invited by Golovchenko to commemorate the 30th anniversary of official relations between the two countries.
