Iran (IMNA) - During his meeting with the Qatari counterpart, Amir-Abdollahian strongly condemned Israel's brutal massacre of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip. He emphasized that if Israel continues its crimes against the Palestinians, there is a possibility for changes in regional conditions. The Iranian Foreign Minister described the daily killing of hundreds of Palestinians by the Israeli regime as intolerable.
In addition, Iran's President, Ebrahim Raeisi, had a phone call with the Qatari Emir on Saturday night. During the conversation, President Raeisi denounced the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza as war crimes and called for an immediate end to the Israeli regime's genocide of the Palestinian people. He also held the United States and other allies of Tel Aviv responsible for the atrocities committed against the Palestinians.
In response to Operation al-Aqsa Storm, launched by Palestinian resistance movements in Gaza, the Israeli regime mobilized an unprecedented 300,000 reservists and declared a "long" war on Gaza. The operation was a response to the decades-long campaign of violence and destruction carried out by the occupying regime against the Palestinians.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, Israeli strikes have resulted in the deaths of 2,329 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, with 9,714 others injured. As a result, over 420,000 people have been displaced within the Gaza Strip, with 270,374 seeking shelter in UN facilities and schools.
