Iran (IMNA) - According to data released by the Iranian oil and energy ministries, Iranian industries have reported higher output this year as a result of increased energy deliveries to them.
In the 55 days leading up to the end of July, which is regarded as the peak period for energy usage in Iran, the supply of electricity to Iranian enterprises had climbed by 12.5% year over year, according to a report published on Wednesday by the Fars news agency.
According to the research, the amount of power given to Iranian companies between June 6 and July 31 this year grew by 23% compared to the same time period in 2021.
Rasul Javid, a university lecturer, stated in an interview with Fars that the country has seen a rise in manufacturing production thanks to the expansion of the electrical supply.
According to data from the World Steel Association, Iran's steel output climbed by more than 17% in June and July compared to the same months last year, moving it up three spots to seventh place among the world's top steel-producing countries.
The demand for power in Iran's household and commercial sectors has been on the rise this year, with peak consumption hitting over 70 gigawatts in June and July, an increase of more than 10% compared to the same period last year.
In the four months leading up to July, according to a senior official with the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), the supply of natural gas to Iranian power plants had more than quadrupled.
Mohammad Reza Joulayi, the chief of NIGC's dispatching operations, claimed that at that time, the business sent 1 billion cubic meters of extra gas to Iran's power plants.
According to him, gas oil makes up the majority of the liquid fuel stockpiles in Iranian power plants, which rose by 40% between March and July to reach 3 billion liters.
