Iran's yearly commerce with the BRICS  increased by 14% to $38.4 billion

In fiscal 2022-23, Iran's trade with BRICS member countries totaled 47.99 million tons worth $38.43 billion.

Iran (IMNA) - Iran's trade with the BRICS nations—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—amounted to 47.99 million tons worth of $38.43 billion in fiscal 2022–23, according to the most recent data made public by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, which excludes crude oil exports. This represents an increase of 0.81% and 14% in terms of weight and value, respectively.

Among BRICS countries, China was Iran's most important trading partner, with 35.55 million tons (up 8.71%) worth $30.32 billion (up 37.41%) in exchanges. India came in second with 7.3 million tons (a 9.38 percent decrease) valued at $4.99 billion (a 46.92 percent increase). According to Financial Tribune, Russia gained the third place with 4.04 million tons (down 17.81%) worth $2.32 billion (up 3.59%), Brazil came in next place with 483,486 tons (down 64.44%) valued $466.55 million (down 36.76%), and South Africa is the last with 608,491 tons (up 9.72%) worth $322.04 million (up 23.52%).
