Iran (IMNA) - Ayatollah Khamenei made the statements on Sunday during a meeting with top commanders and officials from the Iranian Armed Forces.
The Leader expressed his delight with the Iranian Armed Forces' continual improvement over the years, describing as "absolutely necessary" the Armed Forces' readiness for deterring foes and their vigilance against behind-the-scene plotters.
Ayatollah Khamenei cited the Zionist regime's current predicament as another illustration of the enemies' failure, saying, "The Zionist regime's anti-Palestinian operation during last year's Ramadan was not met with any special reaction in the world, but this year, demonstrations were held even in the United States and England against its crimes."
Ayatollah Khamenei remarked on the two wars that the United States started in the east and west of Iran about 20 years ago, saying, "Americans had interests in Iraq and Afghanistan, but their ultimate goal was the Islamic Iran, and due to the strong foundations of the Islamic Revolution, they failed in the cases and their ultimate goal."
Therefore, despite all of the opponent's military might and seemingly sound calculations, the Leader declared, "the enemy can be defeated."
However, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that it was crucial not to neglect the enemy. "One should never ignore the enemy's schemes and plans at any point."
The Leader urged the intellectual centers of the Iranian Armed Forces to concentrate on innovation in developing strong, logical, and successful plans and policies at the conclusion of his address.
