Iran (IMNA) - The cultural wing of Iran's embassy in Islamabad arranged the week-long exhibition, which features hundreds of unique manuscripts of the Holy Quran penned by notable Iranian and Pakistani artists.
For the occasion, the Iran-Pakistan Persian Language Studies Institute showcased more than 40 antique Quran manuscripts.
The Holy Quran, Islam's holy book, was delivered in its whole to Prophet Muhammad 14 centuries ago during the fasting month of Ramadan. This is why the show is held during the holy month.
The exhibition's organizers underline the need of making today's youth aware of the Quran's significance.
Attendees at the inauguration ceremony believe the show would appeal to students and artists while also fostering cultural collaboration between Iran and Pakistan.
The exhibition, which runs through April 7, is expected to draw a considerable number of people since it allows Muslims to learn about the most recent studies on the influence of Quranic teachings on daily life.
