Iran's non-oil exports grew by 12.22% y/y in 11 months ending to February 19

According to the figures revealed by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), non-oil exports from the country grew by 12.22% year on year in the 11 calendar months ending to February 19.

Iran (IMNA) - Iran's exports from March 2022 to February of this year totaled $48.8 billion, according  a statement made available by IRICA on Sunday.

The statement reports that export shipments fell by 1.16% in volume terms from the previous 11 months to late February 2022, totaling 111.3 million metric tons (mt).

The estimates do not include Iran's crude oil, mazut, and kerosene exports, as well as commodities and merchandise carried by passengers.

Iranian customs administration reported that Iran shipped liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) worth around $6.8 billion between March previous year and February this year, making up about $21.7 billion, or 44.49%, of all exports.

According to the customs department, China accounted for $13.6 billion in purchases of Iranian products in the 11 months leading up to late February, followed by Iraq with $9.4 billion and Turkey with $6.9 billion.

In terms of imports into Iran, IRICA reported that the country received 33.6 million mt of products worth $53.7 billion between March last year and February this year, representing a 15.28% rise in value terms over the same period last year.
