"Isfahan's readiness to hold the International Film Festival for Children and Youth has been announced to Farabi Cinema Foundation. The Secretariat of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth is also on standby," he added.
The International Film Festival for Children and Youth is a widely known festival targeting children and youth. Isfahan has been the main host of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth (IFFCY) for more than 17 rounds. Tehran, Hamedan and Kerman have also organized the event in previous editions. Due to being Iran's pioneer child friendly city, Isfahan has been considered the symbolic host of the event.
The Municipality of Isfahan has been recognized as Iran's first “Child Friendly Candidate City” by joining UNICEF’s Global Child Friendly City Initiative (CFCI) Network.
The CFCI Action Plan developed by the Municipality of Isfahan was approved in the National CFCI Coordination Committee meeting in October 2020 in line with the Programme of Cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and UNICEF Iran.
