Iran (IMNA) - Ali Ghasemzadeh noted that nowadays citizens are enjoying fall leaf peeping; however, if the municipal services workers do not picked the leaves up in time, it can pose problems for people; especially if the leaves become dry and fine-grained, they would be suspended in the air and cause respiratory problems for people.
Referring to the measures taken by the municipality of Isfahan on the occasion of the International Day of Disabled Persons, Ghasemzadeh said, "taking the opportunity, we held a meeting with activists of the disabled community, which was very helpful; there are extraordinary talented disabled that can help the Municipality to improve the city. So, we will embrace the idea of making use of the capacities of the disabled."
The mayor of Isfahan ended, "With the approval of Isfahan's Islamic City Council, the "Zayandeh Rud Cultural Secretariat" in the Municipality has been set up, which has been entrusted with the task of modifying the local and national attitudes towards the tensions faced by societies in situations of water scarcity, and addressing the concern with a collective and national effort. "
Isfahani farmers held a two-week-long peaceful sit-in against water shortage. They raised an objection to the diversion of water from the Zayandeh Rud to supply other areas, leaving their agricultural lands dry and threatening otheir job.
