Iran (IMNA) - "Considering that cycling and clean transportation have gained a great attention in Isfahan, the municipality of Isfahan has decided to take measures to facilitate cyclists travels by building cycling ramps on foot bridges (without any escalator) and other elevated urban over-passes," Masoud Bandehkhoda said.
He added, "This project, which is being implemented for the first time in Isfahan, has been launched as a pilot program on some pedestrian bridges in district 7."
Noting that the average cost to install a ramp for each pedestrian bridge is 10 million Toman, Isfahan's Deputy Mayor for Transportation and Traffic clarified, "there are 104 non-mechanized pedestrian bridges, for which we hope to install bicycle- wheeling ramps within the next three months. "
