Coronavirus kills 362 more in Iran over past 24 hours

The coronavirus pandemic caused by the new respiratory virus has claimed the lives of over 1,489,641 people and infected 64,318,903 across the world.

Iran (IMNA) - Sima Sadat Lari, the Iranian health ministry spokeswoman, said on Wednesday that 362 more Iranians have died as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours bringing the country’s total deaths to 48,990.

13,621 new coronavirus infections have been identified over the past 24 hours, some 2,246 of whom have been hospitalized, Sadat Lari said.

There have been nearly 989,572 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran.

The all-out-efforts of Iranian officials have focused on taking measures to curb the outbreak and prevent further spread.

According to Worldometers, total cases of COVID-19 worldwide have surpassed 64 million and the global deaths from the virus have also surged at 1,489,641; however, more than 44 million people have recovered.
