Iran (IMNA) – During an official meeting, Ashraf Boroujerdi and Shoazim Minovarov, the director of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, signed a memorandum of understanding for advanced cooperation.
Saying that the National Library of Iran has two duties of maintaining inscribed works such as books and magazines, and preserving and restoring the historical documents, Boroujerdi said, "The record office of the National Library preserve and restore documents relating to the history of Iran such as pictures, maps, audio files, and historical letters."
"About 9 million documents are kept in the record office of the library, so, it is necessary to pay special attention to the documents in order not to destroy them," he added. "Jame al-Tawarikh or Tarikh rashidi written by Rashid al-Din Fazlollah Hamedani has already been registered globally in UNESCO," he also said.
