Iran (IMNA) – "Isfahan has been known as a historical and cultural city that its being peace friendly has been proved to the world throughout history," Ghodratollah Nowrouzi said. Saying that the first national conference on child-friendly city can be a strong foundation to support children's rights, he noted, "The children who are more likely to be victims of air and noise pollution, and also all social disruptions, can be the subjects of researches on social harms and should receive more attention."
"We should change our attitude, and evolve our thoughts toward the children's world in order not to be the witnesses of children's suffering; our social programs should not restrict and deprive them as well. I'm happy that Isfahan has taken valuable steps in this regard, and the municipality is implementing some programs that are supposed to play important roles in the children's future," he emphasized
"No child in this city should travel a great distance to access the urban amenities, but facilities must be distributed with an exact planning, so that all the areas of the city will be well-equipped," he added.
"Meeting the basic physical and psychological needs of children is their exclusive right; all walks of life from university professors to taxi drivers should respect the children's rights in a child-friendly city," he added.
