Iran (IMNA) – Pointing to the discovery of new historical layers in this tomb, Hossein Yazdanmehr said, "The new historical layers that have been found by the experts of Natanz's Cultural Heritage Organization date back to 800 years ago."
"In 2016, it was ordained to start the layering process in four points of this tomb with the cooperation of Natanz's Cultural Heritage department," he added. "The historical complex of Natanz's Jameh mosque include three parts; the mosque, tomb, and monastery. With the exception of the mosque which refers to the Ale-Buyeh era (more than 1,000 years ago), the rest parts date back to the Ilkhani era, more than 700 years ago," he continued.
"Sheikh Abd al-Samad Natanzi's tomb which was built in the Ilkhani era, has older columns that belong to the Seljuk era; complete information about them requires more detailed researches," he noted.
This complex includes an octagonal Shabestan with a brick dome, the mausoleum of Sheikh Nor al-Din Abd al-Samad with an octagonal conical dome, portal of monastery, and a high minaret that catch the viewers' eyes.
