Comprehensive atlas of domestic tourism to codify

Tourism deputy of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization has announced the codifying of a comprehensive atlas of tourism events to provide a suitable geographic and time distribution in this regard, and considered it as a basic requirement in this field.

Iran (IMNA) – "Every year, some parts of the country receive a high number of tourists, while other regions that have good tourism capacities host a few of them," Vali Teimuri said.

"One of the weaknesses of the last international tourism exhibitions was the limited presence of private sectors active in provinces," the Director General of marketing and advertising of tourism department of Cultural Heritage Organization said.

"Other problems were the lack of subsidiary programs, selling food in all parts of the exhibition, and inattention to less-known provinces regarding tourism field," Mohammad Ebrahim Larijani said.

"In this edition, we are trying  to solve the recent problems and weaknesses as our first priority; some spaces of the exhibition will be given to other provinces and their private sectors, distinct booths to introduce food products, and also several pavilions will be allocated to less-known provinces in tourism field," he added.

The 12th international exhibition of tourism and related industries will be held at the permanent site of international exhibitions of Tehran, from 12 to 15 February, with the presence of private sector companies, tourism general offices of the provinces, and 10 foreign countries.
