Iran seen growth in tourists by 51% in first half of year

"Paying attention to the tourism industry has led to growth in tourists by 51% in the first six months of the year," the vice-president and the head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization of Iran said.

Isfahan (IMNA) – "During the trip to Isfahan, seven tourism and residential projects will be inaugurated which will cost 630 billion Rials," Ali Asghar Munesian said on the sideline of his trip to Borkhar County. Pointing to the new handicrafts, he said, "New handicrafts are combination of art and special techniques that are useful and effective to create enough jobs, and bring prosperity to the deprived areas."The last year's handicraft exports grew by 16%, and this year we have seen good results in this regard." 

"Establishing permanent handicrafts markets is an important part of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization's programs, and paying attention to this matter will provide the adequate context for job creation, and also help the economy of the country to develop," he continued.

The vice-president and the head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization of Iran has visited the handicrafts of inlaid turquoise and marquetry, the process of hand printed cloth  production, the minaret of the mosque, and the historical inscription of Sin city in Borkhar County during his trip to Isfahan.
