Isfahan (IMNA) – During the unveiling ceremony which was held in collaboration with the anthropological museum of Gaz, the association of museum curators of Isfahan, and the institute of language, history and culture of Gaz on the international museum day and the cultural heritage Week, Fereidoun Alhayari, the head of Isfahan's cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism organization said, “The aim behind the week of cultural heritage and the international museum day is to create an opportunity for people to become more acquainted with the museums. As far as we move forward, the number of participating people, NGOs, and organizations active in this area is getting more and more. This is an exceptional and good opportunity; however, the role of the broadcast network, including the radio stations, television stations, the press and the sites which are active in this area, can be very constructive in this regard.’’
He added, "We need to increase the investments in the field of education. we should help people -especially the young geberation- become reconciled to museums! Regarding the memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Education at the national level, we have to perform widespread activities to provide the adequate context for people to visit museums throughout the year not during the weeks of cultural heritage.
