Mohsen Mehralizadeh, the governor, said: Isfahan has high potentials in realms of sophisticated people, high-quality universities, Science and Technology Town, rich culture, and religious people; which are all reasons for growth in the city, he made the remarks in the first session of Provincial Council for Planning and Development.
Mehralizadeh added: despite all the mentioned characteristics, the city is still facing a few shortcomings such as unemployment rate, air pollution, and drought. Apparently greater efforts are required to do something different for the mentioned issues, he warned.
He continued: fortunately, Iranian nation enjoys sympathy spirit for any problem shooting, but looking at the issue from outside indicates that unnecessary bureaucracy is making hurdles and wasting the opportunities.
The official reminded that Isfahan as Iran's Capital of Culture and Islamic Civilization should make use of other countries to attract investors in different sections.
He then pointed to the Iranian Supreme Leader's naming the current year as 'Economy of Resistance, Production, and Job Creation', and said: we must enter the execution stages because the leader's main concern is the youth's employment and welfare.
The country's economy should not be one-dimensional basing on oil export revenues only, the governor emphasized and suggested that Isfahan could serve a stage for private sectors' investments as a role model for the whole country in the field.
He finally referred to the artistic-cultural activities in the province, and declared: Isfahan authorities must pay considerable attention to creation of great theater and music halls in order to absorb the enthusiasts of the field.
