Two coordinated terrorist attacks were carried out on the Iranian Majlis (Parliament) building and the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini in southern Tehran killing 17 civilians and injuring over 50 others.
The European, Asian and American artists, filmmakers and participants of the 30th International Film Festival for Children and Youth have sent separate messages to the secretariat of the event denouncing the terrorist attack and expressing condolences to the Iranian nation, said a report by the festival’s public relations office on Sunday.
The 30th int’l film festival for children and youth will be held from June 30 to July 6 in the ancient city of Isfahan, central Iran.
Representatives of Germany, the US, China, France, Norway and the Netherlands have also sent separate messages to condemn the terrorist attacks and sympathized with the Iranian nation and children.
“Tehran's news made me sad and I hope that never hearing the news like these,” Kevin Erickson director of “The Next Step” from the US said in his message.
Loic Bruyere director of “In a cage” from France said, “What's going on in Tehran? It is very uncomfortable for me. I hope you stay safe,”
“There is no glory in terrorism. I’m sorry for these terrible attacks,” Nicole van Kilsdonc director of “The Day My Father Became a Bush” from the Netherlands said.
“Tehran attacks are heartbreaking. I’m so sorry about victims,” said Peder Hamdahl director of “Little Grey Fergie” from Norway.
“I heard a bad news. Terror again... I take sympathy with you and your people,” Suntour Jual producer of “The River” from China said.
“It’s terrible what we’re hearing in the news about what’s going in Tehran at the moment. I hope you and your family and friends and people are safe,” Ramona Sehr, Festival & Sales Coordinator of “Miracle of Mountain” from Germany said.
A number of artists, guests and participants of the 30th International Film Festival for Children and Youth have condemned the terror attack carried out by Daesh (ISIS) terrorists in the Iranian capital on June 7, IRNA reported.
