Iran develops new weapons with surprise capabilities for potential future conflict: official

Iranian scientists at the Ministry of Defense have developed new weapons with surprise capabilities in preparation for any potential future conflict, a senior defense official announced on Wednesday.

Iran (IMNA) - Hojatoleslam Seyyed Ziaeddin Aghajanpour, head of the Organization for Ideological and Political Affairs of the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, made the remarks in Karaj, referring to the US attacks against Iran during the 12-day war.

Addressing US President Donald Trump, Aghajanpour stressed that Iran would never yield to American pressure or coercion.

“We will never bow to your bullying,” he declared.

He also recalled the final remarks of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, noting that the central demand repeatedly voiced by the US president was for the Iranian nation to obey Washington and surrender.

Aghajanpour emphasized that the Iranian nation would never submit to what he described as the illegitimate demands of its adversaries.

The official said that strengthening the country was the only way to counter the bullying of hostile powers. Referring to the late Leader's emphasis on national strength as the key to progress, he said the Islamic Republic had become a powerful country and its Armed Forces were now at the peak of their capabilities.

Aghajanpour further recalled Iran's previous warnings that any continuation of hostile actions would be met with strikes against the occupied territories (Israel) and US interests across the region. He said Iran had demonstrated both its determination and ability to carry out those warnings.

He also stated that Iranian-developed missiles were capable of hitting targets beyond the Middle East, adding that Tehran would use this capability if necessary.
